So after my brother's memorial we convinced my Dad to come out to visit. Flying isn't his cup of tea nowadays, but it is the quickest way here to CA. from VA. He has been coming out almost every summer for a couple of days to visit. We had a great time just hanging out and eating out a lot. Scott took a couple of days off to hang out with us too. My Dad lives in the Mountains of Southwest VA. and there isn't much around unless you drive 30 miles to the biggest city so we enjoy taking him out to fun places to eat once he was here. Bari Bari, PF Changs, In n Out, and Pancake House.
I think I gain 5 lbs once he was here but he said he lost 2 lbs, I don't know how. :)
We also took the the kids to VBS each night, went swimming, went to see Cars 2, bowling, drove around L. A., California Science Center, rode the Ferris Wheel at Irvine Spectrum, and church. So glad he got to come out and hang out with us for a couple of days.
